Cassilhaus Home
To the extent that this world surrenders its richness and diversity, it surrenders its poetry. To the extent that it relinquishes its capacity to surprise, it relinquishes its magic. To the extent that it loses its ability to tolerate ridiculous and even dangerous exceptions, it loses its grace.
– Tom Robbins
Cassilhaus is a home-based artist residency and exhibition program located between Durham and Chapel Hill, North Carolina. It also houses a significant collection of contemporary art with a primary focus on photography. Cassilhaus was conceived and designed by architect Ellen Cassilly and her husband Frank Konhaus.
