Matt Eich: I love you, I’m LEaving
& The Invisible Yoke: Volume IV, WE, The Free,

We couldn't be more excited to announce our exhibition of work by Charlottesville-based photographer Matt Eich, including his series, I Love You, I'm Leaving, along with a selection of images exhibited for the first time from The Invisible Yoke, Volume IV: We, The Free.  In these photographs, Eich explores the tension of being an artist alongside being a husband and father, and the constant tug-and-pull that happens as his work often takes him away from home. I Love You, I'm Leaving also came amidst a time of change and transition for Eich's family, as his parents separated and his grandfather – the first person to give him a camera – passed away. At once tender and tragic, these photographs explore the universal themes of family, memory, and loss.
